My accomplishments within this aspect, and also my capabilities. Let's take a look through together.
Active Campus Journalist
I am the Editor-In-Chief, Layout Artist, and Feature Writer of The Adelinian Prism. I recently won fourth place in Division 2024, and an RSPC finalist. Previously, I was a Copyreader and then an Editorial Writer. I am considered a versatile journalist who is capable of adapting to any category. I wrote for News, Sci-tech, Feature, and Sports in the recent newspaper. You can read here.
A writer
I used to publish stories under a username in Archive of Our Own and Twitter and it gained a lot of likes and views. Aside from that, I also wrote poems and other forms of literature since I was and still a literature geek. I won the Essay Writing contest for the United Nations Celebration 2023.
Former Pianist?
I used to play the piano and was taught how to play the flute, but I'm afraid I've forgotten how to play the latter since I never played the flute again. The piano intrigued me enough to play for a long time during the pandemic but the keyboard we had broke, so I had no practice ever since. Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to hone my skills as a pianist.
Band member!
Last Intramurals 2023, my band "Camomile" performed for the first time. I was the rhythm guitarist and the band leader and had friends and friends of friends to join. We had two vocalists, a lead guitarist, and a bassist in the group.
Table Tennis Player & Other sports
I was chosen as the table tennis player for two consecutive years. I recently won first place overall for table tennis single A girls. I'm still not that skilled in table tennis so I am working on it. I'm also a swimmer who won a gold medal in a swimming competition back then, and I am willing to take up any swimming competitions in the future. I'm also capable of playing badminton and chess.
Guitarist
I own two guitars, an acoustic and an electric. I am constantly improving my skills in the guitar to showcase my improvement for the next performance with my band in the future. I thoroughly enjoy playing the guitar more than anything else.
A dancer?!
Recently, my group had a score of 94 in our waltz performance. We had the second best performance among all grade nine students. We danced to the song "Can I have this dance?' from the movie High School Musical 3. We all had coordinated colors and wore gowns and formal suits.
Leadership!
I am usually chosen as the leader by my peers. And as a leader, I always make sure to prioritize the opinions of my members and let them shine individually. I always try to make them participate in group settings, and it always seems to work. My group members tend to say that they like me as a leader because I'm passionate and ambitious. I push them to do better and I make sure to stay attentive of my surroundings.
Certificate Hoarder?
I always joined contests when I was given the chance. This school year, I've joined for all the activities. For AP, I joined the United Nations Quiz Bee and won first place, I also won the English Essay Writing Contest. For English, I was chosen as the Mystery Reader and participated in the poster making contest and auditioned for declamation. For Journalism, our newspaper won three awards; Feature page won 7th place in Division, Sci-tech page won 7th place, and Editorial page won 4th place. I graduated elementary as a valedictorian and gave a speech. I've been a consistent honor student since first grade. I've also won several quiz bees, art contests, writing contests, and more consistently and never leaving without a certificate.
